Highlight of the week. Thursday’s event. Inspired by a session at our Achmea Innovation Hub team day. Many moving parts. This story, for me at least, spoke to values deeply woven, like facia and tissue, into our (team, community, society’s) collective DNA.

Togetherness or conviviality (Eng.), Gezelligheid (Dutch), Geselligheid (Afrikaans), Philoxenia (Greek), ways, rituals and beliefs, the ‘secret sauce’ and powerful 'unlock' to a More Human ‘NEXT’. How do we tap into, nay celebrate our unique, diverse and collective superpowers for happiness/impact?
Great day out at @Legoland Discovery Centre near the Hague, on the Scheveninge Beach, along the North Sea. Having recently moved to Amsterdam from London, a team off-site takes on a whole new meaning. I'm a tourist in a new movie, a new language, new landscapes, new sunset spots, new environments, people, cultures. This is what I love.
Word for the week; Fired-up. Excited to be working with such a great bunch of people. At Achmea and in the Netherlands. There's something about the Dutch culture and way that the world needs more of right now. In the family; how to create safer spaces, more equitable sustainable communities, an openness to smarter ways of working, innovation, the role of sports, being active and how this converges with mobility, connection, weekly rhythmns like

The 'Digital Defender' team’s working on some of these greatest problems, in this case prioritising online wellness eg. Screentime addiction for kids -‘co-led by Jur van WamelJulius RitecoSofie Lievens is a big urgent problem across many countries right now. I'm delighted and proud to be working on these meaningful problems, aligned to my own values, with such a lovely bunch of people.
